“The origins of Shane’s radio career can be traced right back to the early 1980’s when he started presenting on Stoke Mandeville Hospital Radio (formerly Radio Park Sound) where has was later to become Programme Controller.

During those heady formative years, Shane interviewed many bands for his rock show - including; Genesis, Motorhead, Camel, Ian Gillan (of Deep Purple fame), Slade, Ian Dury, The Specials, John Martyn and Fish amongst many others and has, over the subsequent years, gone on to interview countless other new and established bands and artistes.

Shane became a team member here at ARfm in the early 2000’s and went on to present well over 100 shows as well as being part of some of our Firefest live outside broadcasts from Nottingham Rock City.
