Jamie Lenman will also be headlining the 3rd stage on Thursday 11th July, taking over the whole day as 'Lenmania 2' - where the whole stage has been curated by Jamie, and he will be the first act and the closing act

The event will be taking place on Thursday 11th July, Friday 12th July and Saturday 13th July, at Upcote Farm near Cheltenham in Gloucestershire

The festival recently won the award for Best Medium Sized Music Festival at the 2018 UK Festival Awards

Following on from its recent win in December 2018 as the Best Medium Sized Festival in the UK at the UK Festival Awards, 2000trees Festival returns. The three day music festival will take place on Thursday 11th July, Friday 12th July and Saturday 13th July at Upcote Farm near Cheltenham, and the first band announcement is here!

We have 33 bands to shout about and to start it all off, headlining the main stage on the Friday 12th July, on their first ever time playing, are the mighty You Me At Six.

Since forming as teenagers in Weybridge, Surrey, You Me At Six have notched up a list of considerable achievements. Four UK Gold Records, five Top Ten albums in the UK including Number One album ‘Cavalier Youth’, sold out UK headline arena tours, and an unparalleled 15 consecutive A-List singles on BBC Radio One. Not to mention also multiple sold-out US headline tours, a Number One rock song in the UK & Australia and Top Five Rock Radio track in North America in ‘Room To Breathe’. Having sold over 65,000 tickets in the UK this year in support of new album 'VI' and the 10th anniversary of debut album 'Take Off Your Colours', You Me At Six are undoubted heavyweights in the live arena. Their recent headline tour was met with phenomenal demand, selling out four months in advance, and in just twenty minutes. As well as gracing the headliner slot at 2000trees Festival, 2019 will see the band take their live show to both Europe and North America.

From You Me At Six -"We're really looking forward to headlining 2000trees Festival this summer. We’ve heard many amazing things about the festival, in particular it’s unrivalled atmosphere and location. The lineup is always superb, so it's going to be a pleasure to be a part of things this year. It's going to be a special show."

Joining You Me At Six will be the incredible Every Time I Die, who are performing at 2000trees Festival for the first time, AND will be performing 'Hot Damn' in full (along with some other bangers) as headliners on The Cave stage on Saturday. "Hot Damn! has always been the one that put us on people’s radars and it was the one that was out the first time we came to the UK, so that’s a nice little throwback." says singer Keith Buckley.   “When festivals are able to do something like this and get such a diverse lineup and secure a venue outdoors, it feels like something big. When you’re going to one of these as a fan of music and your whole surroundings feel so much larger than life it makes you want to enjoy the music. It make you really open to hearing new bands. You’re going to need these festivals, whether it’s to feed a fanbase or to make one. So I think it’s extremely important for the scene.”

Sheffield's While She Sleeps will headline the Cave Stage on the Thursday. The band are on the verge of releasing their fourth album 'SO WHAT?' on March 1st, which is the follow up to 2017's Top Ten UK chart album 'You Are We'. Front man Loz confirming our suspicions about the set - "Last time we played the festival it was chaos. Expect nothing less this time around.”

Returning festival hero Jamie Lenman will be doing something very different at 2000trees Festival this year. He will be curating, opening and closing his very own stage and mini festival, Lenmania 2, on the Axiom Stage on the Thursday - being the first act to be performing at this years event, on the Thursday early afternoon. Jamie will have a host of bands on the stage he (and 2000trees) loves, with more details being announced very soon about the full line up.

A bit from Jamie Lenman - "I’m super excited to be bringing back Lenmania with a new twist and 2000trees is the perfect place to do it - a festival within a festival! The lineup of bands we’ve put together is completely awesome, from old buddies to new discoveries and everything in between, and it’s been great to get Trees’ input so we can assemble the best bill possible. It’s going to be immense!"

From a 2000trees Festival regular, to a HUGELY anticipated first timer, Frank Iero will be headlining the Axiom Stage on the Saturday with his band Frank Iero And The Future Violents in what is sure to be one of THE sets of the weekend. From Frank "I’m so excited to be playing 2000trees festival! i’ve heard so much about it from friends that played in the past but i’ve never had the pleasure personally. I’m looking forward to making some memories of my own next year."

ALL the bands being announced today are:
You Me At Six (Friday headliner) / Every Time I Die (playing "Hot Damn" + hits) / While She Sleeps / Frank Iero And The Future Violents / Therapy? / Comeback Kid / Jamie Lenman (headlining and curating Lenmania II) / Hands Like Houses / Single Mothers / Cavetown / Estrons / Martha / Milk Teeth / Puppy / Muncie Girls / GroundCulture / Higher Power / Loathe / Gouge Away / Nervus / Heavy Lungs / MØL / Indigo Lo / LICE / The Drew Thompson Foundation / Spielbergs / Sunshine Frisbee Laserbeam / Imperial Leisure / Orchards / Frauds / Phoxjaw / Indoor Pets / False Advertising

From 2000trees Festival organiser and main man James Scarlett - "With 33 bands announced today there is a lot I’m excited about and I’d definitely like to point people in the direction of my new favourite band Gouge Away – they are absolutely incredible. Also a shout out is definitely needed for Every Time I Die who are playing their Hot Damn! album in full for the first (and probably only) time. As well as playing the album, they’re also going to smash us with some of their hits, so this will be a very special set for sure. And last but not least, Jamie Lenman has agreed to bring Lenmania to 2000trees and will be taking over the Axiom Stage all day on the Thursday with a selection of his favourite acts. In fact, he’ll be the very first act of the entire festival playing a special acoustic set and will also headline the stage with his full rock show. I can’t wait!”

Frontiers Rock UK Festival 2nd February 2019

Written by

Following successful label festivals in Milan, Los Angeles and Stockholm, Frontiers Music is proud to announce FRONTIERS ROCK UK, a new event presented by Frontiers and The Academy Group which will be held at the O2 Institute in Birmingham on 2nd February 2019.

FRONTIERS ROCK UK features some of the hottest acts signed to the label, with six bands comprising a spectacular bill of UK based talent.

Formed in 2014 and fronted by former Trans-Siberian Orchestra (and TV talent show) singer Nathan James, the unstoppable momentum of 70’s hard rock inspired act Inglorious continues with their forthcoming third album, ‘Ride To Nowhere’, which is out on 25th January 2019. Its release will be followed immediately by a UK tour that incorporates the Frontiers Rock festival in Birmingham.
Current single :

Formed by the well known songwriter-musician and producer Toby Jepson (Little Angels, Fastway, Gun), the debut album by Wayward Sons was released in autumn 2017. ’Ghosts Of Yet To Come’ was a full blooded rock ’n' roll record with an alternative edge, built of passion and commitment, with an eye on modernity and the human condition. The band are on tour in November and December with labelmates Doomsday Outlaw.
Video :

Melodic rock stalwarts Vega released their fifth album, ‘Only Human’, in May 2018. It saw the group take their songwriting and musicianship to the next level, which was also reflected in the critical praise lavished upon the record. The band will hit the road in early 2019 supporting Skid Row on their UK tour.
Video :

Bigfoot is a hard rock band from Wigan who burst onto the scene in 2014 and have built a loyal following via constant gigging and appearances at various festivals. Their self-titled debut album reached no. 11 in the 2018 Planet Rock magazine readers poll. The band are currently writing new songs for their second album, to be released in 2019.

Doomsday Outlaw is a ten-legged hard rock, blues tinged juggernaut based in darkest Derbyshire. Coupling huge riffs and killer grooves with soaring, soulful vocals to deliver timeless tales of heartbreak and redemption, the band showed off its distinctive sound via 2018 album 'Hard Times’. Subsequent UK tours with Jizzy Pearl, Graham Bonnet Band and Wayward Sons, plus festival slots and numerous headlining dates have ensured a busy year.

The buzz began spreading about the London based City Of Thieves as soon as they made their debut in 2015, via early Planet Rock Radio support and slots at the likes of Ramblin’ Man Fair, Bloodstock and Planet Rockstock festivals. Their just released debut album,‘Beast Reality’, saw them working with producer Toby Jepson (Wayward Sons, Little Angels).

Live At Leeds 2019LOGO

Renowned as the first place to hear the essential sounds of the year ahead, Live At Leeds returns in 2019 with its biggest lineup to date - bringing together the artists that’ll be on everyone’s lips for the next 12 months, and the chance to find your new favourite band first for a day of live music like no other. The home of new music, it all begins at Live At Leeds.

Heading up the lineup this year are some of Live At Leeds’ true success stories, led by returning guitar heroes Sundara Karma. Since forming in Reading, their blend of infectious hooks and direct lyrics have taken on the globe - with a debut album that took them to headline nights at London’s Brixton Academy and beyond. After returning last month with the mesmerising ‘Illusions’ and a hotly anticipated second album on the cards for next year, their set at Live At Leeds is bound to be an unmissable spectacle of what a band can be in 2019.

One of the most acclaimed and creative bands of the past decade, Metronomy will return in 2019 to open up a bold new chapter. Formed in the creative mind of frontman/band leader Joe Mount, their tear-stained lines of indie heartbreak have become a signature sound - with five studio albums morphing and growing into swaggering neon-pop with a catalogue of anthems to boot. An unmissable live act, Live At Leeds 2019 will be in for a treat when Metronomy come to town.

Tom Grennan is arguably the breakout artist of 2018, with an incredible year that has sent him to some of the biggest stages in the UK. After scooping a Top 5 Album with debut LP ‘Lighting Matches’, Tom has packed rooms across the country - with his gravel-smooth voice and unstoppable stage presence making him one of the most beloved songwriters that the UK has seen in quite some time. Bound to bring passion and charm to Live At Leeds 2019, he’s one only set to get bigger and bigger from here on out.

Across venues and locations around the city, Live At Leeds is full of unmissable moments - with a host of the finest in fresh and exciting music lining up for 2019. No comebacks in the indie world may be as anticipated for 2019 than Swim Deep, who across two studio albums have set themselves from the pack with their dreamy and boundary-pushing sound. After time away, you can guarantee their set at Live At Leeds 2019 will be one packed to the rafters as Birmingham’s finest return to the fray in style. An act stamping their own mark on the world around them, Dream Wife stand as a vital act of current times. Combining punk spirit, a take no prisoners live show and a revered debut album to boot and you can guarantee they’ll go down a storm come May 4th. Another band with a debut album recently out in the world, the glam-screen swagger of Black Honey returns to Live At Leeds next year, with tracks like ‘Midnight’, ‘Hello Today’ and ‘Dig’ making them a live force to be reckoned with. Equally as captivating, and standing as one of the most talked about new bands of the past few months, the carefree pomp of Sports Team will roll into Leeds City Centre in May, bringing with them the sort of ambition and star-power that’ll have them leading the way for a whole new gang of bands to follow. After their landmark Scala headline show and with the charismatic points of frontman Alex Rice in tow, they’re ones not to be missed.

On their return to Live At Leeds, Swim Deep commented:
“Buzzin for Leeds. New songs. Buzzin"

Always changing and with something different around every corner, Live At Leeds packs in a vast array of bands and acts reshaping genre and styles. Scrappy South-Londoners Goat Girl have made a name for themselves with their fresh and unique take on what a guitar band can be, and their forward-thinking but raw set is bound to provide a moment unlike anyone else. Dreamy four-piece Gengahr bring themselves to Live At Leeds as they continue to innovate and evolve, with second album ‘Where Wildness Grows’ released last year to acclaim across the board. After a star turn on Later… With Jools Holland, Leicester’s Easy Life will be rolling with the smooth jazz-indie vibes to Live At Leeds this year, with tracks like ‘Pockets’ and ‘Frank’ pointing to one of the most exciting new bands on the circuit right now. Shining a light on the best the city itself has to offer, Leeds’ very own Marsicans will be on hand to celebrate at Live At Leeds 2019 as they sit on the cusp of a huge year with their sharp and sweet pop hooks. Equally, the hypnotic flows of Gently Tender (featuring members of Palma Violets and The Big Moon) will leave Live At Leeds 2019 with an army of new fans thanks to their incredible sound. It’s a shining example of why Live At Leeds is the only place to be when it comes to refreshing new music discovery.

Hometown heroes Marsicans look ahead to Live At Leeds 2019, saying:
“We’re very excited to be playing at Live at Leeds next year. It’s given us some of our best hometown shows over the years and we can’t wait to take it up a level with this year’s performance. It’s always an exciting date in our calendar”.

The ultimate all-dayer, Live At Leeds remains unmatched as the leading light of live music and inner-city fun. Bursting at the seams with new bands all on the verge of something special, there’s something for everyone. From the soaring screens of Brighton’s Thyla, to the flickering panoramic plays of Another Sky (fresh from their recent TV debut on Later… With Jools Holland), the direct and heart-grabbing pop of Lauren Aquilina and the sharp Elli Ingram, the dazzling indie pop of Swimming Girls and the thriving rock and roll power of Scottish wizzes The Dunts - the very best are heading to Live At Leeds to prove their standings. With over 55 acts in total confirmed today, also including the Blossoms-approved Fuzzy Sun, Liverpudlian popper Zuzu, thrilling live kickers Saltwater Sun and the intricate yet open Squid - Live At Leeds is the only place to catch the hottest bands and artists of 2019 before anyone else.

The Dunts said:
“We’re very excited to play Live At Leeds festival next year, it’ll be our third time in Leeds after smashing Leeds Festival and LAL's Ones To Watch, and we are prepared to die on that stage! We realise no one wants that but we are prepared!”

Saltwater Sun said:
“Hi! We’re Saltwater Sun and we are all fired up for our initiation into the Live at Leeds Club 2019! Heard nothing but good things about this festival and having only ventured to Leeds once so far, we’re understandably super excited to play for some people who haven’t seen us. As for our set, expect loud, high energy bops from start to finish. Bring your dancing shoes; we’ll do the rest.”

The starting gates to the summer ahead, Live At Leeds 2019 soundtracks a city soaring with the best in new and now.

Looking ahead to Live At Leeds 2019, Festival Director Andy Smith said:
“It’s really good to see breakthrough artists coming back for 2019, both Sundara Karma and Tom Grennan cut their teeth at the event making their first appearances in 2016 and ‘17 respectively. They’ve both had a great few years, selling out Leeds Academy and enjoying critical acclaim since their last LAL appearances; it’s amazing to welcome them back topping the bill. We see Metronomy return to Leeds for the first time since 2014, which will be a personal highlight, and local talent is represented well with Leeds men of the moment Marsicans leading the regional names. There are emerging artists on this announcement with huge buzz around them at the moment like Easy Life, Heavy Lungs and Sports Team, and this is just the first wave of names, there is plenty more to be announced!

On the road since April 2016 and over 100 shows later, the resurgent Guns N’ Roses are back and coming to Download Festival. Reuniting last year for the first time since 1993, the inimitable Axl Rose, guitar legend Slash and original bassist Duff McKagan, plus Dizzy Reed, Richard Fortus, Frank Ferrer and Melissa Reese, have been blowing audiences away worldwide on the aptly named Not In This Lifetime Tour, and will stop by Donington on the Saturday night for their first UK Festival appearance of the classic line up on legendary form after selling 1 million tickets across Europe in 2017 alone.

Six studio albums later, Guns N’ Roses are one of the most important and influential acts in music history and continue to set the benchmark for live performances connecting with millions of fans across the globe.

Download Festival’s Promoter, Andy Copping said:
“It’s great to have this iconic line up of Guns N’ Roses headlining at Download. I am sure I am not alone when I say I have been wanting this to happen for years. It will be an incredible show and will be one of the highlights of the Download weekend!”

Earlier this week Download Festival revealed that The Prince Of Darkness Ozzy Osbourne will be headlining the Sunday night and one of the world’s biggest rock bands Avenged Sevenfold will be headlining the Friday night. Guns N’ Roses complete the 2018 line up and will headline the Saturday night.

We’re excited to announce that WATAIN will bring their black metal ritual to headline Sunday’s Sophie Lancaster stage in a UK festival exclusive.  Frontman Erik Danielsson tells us, "Our last performance at BLOODSTOCK in 2012 was also the final date on the ‘Lawless Darkness’ tour.  The sun was setting while we played and the crowd was getting louder and wilder the darker it became.  A very charged atmosphere.  Eager now to return and see what the eventful years that have passed and the force accumulated since then has done to both us and the BLOODSTOCK crowd.  Furthermore, England is of course sacred ground when it comes to Metal in general, so when performing there, the stakes are always high.  May all those that doubt be impaled upon them."  Look out for the band’s long awaited sixth studio album arriving on 5th January 2018!

German power metallers, ORDEN OGAN also land a Ronnie James Dio main stage slot on Saturday.  The band released ‘Gunmen’, their fifth studio album, this summer via AFM Records.  Check out the video for ‘Gunman’ here and get a taster of what’s in store for their set in 2018 -

Atlanta aggrotech outfit, COMBICHRIST also join the main stage bill for an early slot on Friday.  The band have been working on new music after the release of their eighth studio album, ‘This Is Where Death Begins’ which landed in 2016.  Check out the new track, ‘Broken:United’ at the following link -

Also landing an early main stage slot on Friday are British death/grind four-piece, MEMORIAM.  Combining ex-members of Bolt Thrower and Benediction, MEMORIAM’s pedigree is high.  The band of scene veterans are hard at work on the follow up to their debut, ‘For The Fallen’ released via Nuclear Blast earlier this year.  Check out ‘Reduced To Zero’ taken from that opus here -

BLOODSTOCK’s Rock Society tickets become available in the store on Halloween morning, 31st October at 9.00am!  The ‘Rock Society’ is effectively the festival’s ‘Members Club’, offering not only a 10% discount on your weekend ticket (on top of the early bird discount if you purchase the Rock Society membership + ticket bundle option), but all sorts of other cool benefits like priority signing tent access, a Rock Society laminate, access to the VIP Serpents Lair bar, a tour of the backstage & production areas to see ‘behind the scenes’, the chance to meet with the festival organisers, a dedicated hangout area in the Rock Society tent on site, a Rock Society Facebook community where you can make friends and get to know your fellow RockSoc members and plenty more besides.  Full details can be found at  Memberships are priced at £75, limited to 300 and sell out almost immediately, so don’t delay if you want to pick one up.

Also now in the store are tickets for our new VANAHEIM campervan field.  Due to increasing demand each year, we've made some site adjustments to allow for more pitches.  As such, the new VANAHEIM site is located across the road, directly adjacent to Serpents Lair VIP parking, allowing an increase in size to accommodate 240 campervans, as opposed to just 130.  Campervan pitches always sold through very rapidly, so this allows for more of our metal brethren to join the campervan club.  Tickets for campervan pitches will remain at this year's price of £60.

With Friday night headliners, JUDAS PRIEST, Saturday night headliners, GOJIRA and Sunday headliners, NIGHTWISH already announced, along with EMPEROR, DEVILDRIVER and NAILS, 2018 is shaping up to be another stellar year for BLOODSTOCK.

BLOODSTOCK’s first wave of Serpents Lair VIP tickets are now SOLD OUT!  The final allocation, the last batch of VIP deluxe packages and a limited amount of VIP upgrades priced at £145 (for those who’ve already bought ‘early bird’ tickets) will then become available on 16th December at 9am in the ticket store.  Mark your calendars and don't delay if you want to join us in 2018’s VIP Serpents Lair, as they’re moving faster than ever before!

Standard weekend tickets are currently available at ‘early bird’ prices (just £125 for four days of metal fun) so grab yours now at the ticket store if you want to save £20!  In order to keep up with inflation and extra costs in 2018, standard weekend tickets with camping will increase from last year's £139 to £145 once the ‘early bird’ allocation is gone.

BLOODSTOCK will take place at Catton Park, Derbyshire on 9th-12th August 2018.  Get additional information over at

Leeds Reading 2017 Header

Already boasting a phenomenal line-up of indisputable headliners and the hottest voices in modern music, Reading & Leeds has announced even more names for this year’s festivals, taking place between 25 - 27 August 2017 at Richfield Avenue, Reading and Bramham Park, Leeds. Tickets are available here.
Rock ‘n’ roll legend and an unmistakable icon of music history, Liam Gallagher will be bringing his highly anticipated solo performance to Reading and Leeds in a UK Festival Exclusive. One of the most recognised figures in British music, his show will be an attitude filled performance fuelled with Oasis classics and tracks from his debut solo record; announcing the next huge step for the nation’s most unmissable frontman.

Undeniable alt-rock sensations PVRIS will be laying out their marker for the year ahead at Reading and Leeds, as they return to the stage ahead of their long-awaited sophomore record. After becoming the hottest name in emerging rock with the release of debut album White Noise in 2014, their electro-infused anthems have continued to resonate with an audience of devoted fans eager for their next chapter.

Long Beach trailblazer and Def Jam star, Vince Staples has become the definitive voice of rising hip-hop. Earning the respect of influential musical figures such as Odd Future, Earl Sweatshirt, Mac Miller, and Gorillaz following his debut album Summertime 06, his eagerly awaited appearance at Reading and Leeds this summer is sure to be an unmissable coronation of future rap royalty.

From one generation to another, timeless drum and bass titan Goldie will make a very special stop at this year’s Reading & Leeds festivals. A true innovator for a genre and a movement, Goldie transcends British culture, with classic LP Timeless still sounding as raw and captivating as it first did upon release in 1995. With a new album set for release, 2017 is the year Goldie returns with a bang, laid out in full colour at Reading & Leeds this summer.
With an incredible variety of genres and styles spread across the festival's six stages, Reading & Leeds is bursting with exciting names and defining sounds for 2017 and beyond.

With huge headline performances set from the likes of Kasabian, Eminem and Muse, even more names have been confirmed for their standout moment in the sun on that iconic Reading & Leeds Main Stage. Along with the unmissable returns of Liam Gallagher and PVRIS, politically-charged garage rockers VANT will be making the step-up, following on from a festival-stopping set on last year’s Festival Republic Stage. With debut album Dumb Blood radiating unstoppable hits, expect their performance at this year’s festival to be a journey into unfiltered riffs in full glory. Grunge-tinged indie-pop pair Honeyblood will lay out tracks from second studio album Babes Never Die at the festivals, with LA blues rock duo Deap Vally will be bringing Femejism to both sites, and frenetic London quartet Judas heading back to the Main Stage after their sensational last-minute slot at Leeds last year.
Lynn Gunn, PVRIS:
“We are incredibly grateful to be performing again at Reading & Leeds. Our first experience at the festival was phenomenal and took us completely by surprise. We are excited to see what comes from it this time around and perhaps even play some new tunes *wink wink*”
Deap Vally;
"We can't wait to return to the R & L stage and show everyone how it's done”!
"We feel totally honoured and privileged to be asked to open the main stage this year. We have been working so hard for so long and it's amazing to be rewarded with the chance to play the main stage at the best music festival in the U.K. Thank you to everyone who has supported us, see you in August! Let's have it"
“Mega excited to be playing Reading and Leeds this year! It's such a legendary festival and it's an absolute dream come true be on the main stage.”

Spilling with big names and rising favourites, including previously announced headliners You Me At Six, Flume and Haim, the NME/Radio One Stage has announced even more stand-out sets over the weekend. Monumental live performances will come from Mura Masa, the electronic maestro behind hits ‘Love$ick’ and ‘Firefly’. The highly acclaimed producer and multi-instrumentalist will reign over Reading and Leeds with thundering beats and a set that promises to point towards one of the most exciting artists in the world. Bass-giant Sub Focus is set to up the ante with an unmissable live set of eclectic dance, having released new material Lingua earlier this year.
Having made a name for herself through collaborations with Rudimental, Sean Paul and Clean Bandit, Anne-Marie is set to bring her mellifluous melodies and infectious synth lines to the festival. Teenage singer-songwriter extraordinaire Declan McKenna is another new name on the bill who is most definitely primed for big things over the year ahead. Possessing a live show that lights up packed venues and TV screens wherever he goes, and with a debut album out this summer, Declan McKenna’s moment is here and Reading and Leeds is the place to be to witness it all.
Chicago’s The Orwells will be packing out their muscular riffs and catchy refrains for an unpredictable appearance this year, along with Marika Hackman, whose hotly tipped new album I’m Not Your Man is set to drop this summer, full of distinct melodies and a bolder new sound. Expect it to go down a treat when Marika Hackman steps up to the Reading & Leeds stage this summer.
Brighton geek-rockers The Magic Gang, melancholy indie scuzz three piece Blaenavon and Australia's psych-pop groovers Pond are also lined up for stunning moments over the weekend, while further additions King No-One, SG Lewis, Mutemath and X Ambassadors all add to making the NME/Radio One Stage a not to be missed musical destination throughout the festival.

Declan McKenna;
“Reading & Leeds is definitely going to be a highlight of the year for me. Am so excited to finally be playing at a festival I love so much and have been to so many times.”
Zach Lount, King No One;
"Reading and Leeds is such an amazing platform to spread who we are and drive our message of equality to more and more people. We can't wait to share our biggest moment”

With headliners Bear’s Den, The Black Lips and The Hunna already primed for rapturous sets - the Festival Republic Stage is once again overflowing with future stars and acts possessing that special something that’ll take them to a whole new level. These include renowned garage rock heroes Japandroids, who returned earlier this year with acclaimed new album Near To The Wild Heart Of Life packed full of the shout-along hooks that have packed venues across the globe. 90s guitar riffers Ash are primed for a return to the festivals with a catalogue of indisputable hits at their disposal, while the transcendent grooves of US ambient-electro force Cigarettes After Sex are sure to be a highlight of the festival weekend.
Dazzling with a who’s who of names destined to burst into record collections over the next 12 months, the stage will play host to the likes of Aussie dance-psych kings Jagwar Ma with their infectious cuts from latest LP Every Now & Then, trailblazing indie-noir heroes Black Honey, glacial electro swooner The Japanese House, all-encompassing cinematic dreamers Pumarosa, modern pop tilter Bishop Briggs and Danish eruptive-pop trio Off Bloom amongst others.
After releasing their acclaimed debut About U, MUNA will make their first appearance at the festivals - promising a powerhouse show full of lush harmonies and potent pop perfection. They’ll be joined across the weekend by vibrant guitar-pop gang The Big Moon, sun-soaked pop prince Will Joseph Cook, US garage rock kickers The Districts, Dirty Hit two piece Superfood, Sydney duo Vallis Alps, distinct bassline pointer Cosima, blistering indie upstarts Paris Youth Foundation and the blues-fuelled highs of Ten Tonnes for landmark moments at every turn.
With further sets confirmed from Barns Courtney (Reading Only), LA creator Mondo Cozmo and electric pop swaggers OUTLYA - the Festival Republic Stage is a must-see look at the future of music and the world’s next favourite acts.

Tim Wheeler, Ash;
"We’re very proud to announce an historic 10th appearance for Ash at the Reading festival. We first performed there in 1995 and our shows at the festival stand among our favourite shows that we’ve ever played, it’s always been a highlight of each year we’ve done it. Somewhere along the way we were promised a statue upon reaching our 10th appearance, so we’re looking forward to the grand unveiling in August!"
Black Honey;
"We've been going to Reading and Leeds since we were little, it's where I crowd surfed for the first time and fell in love with music, it feels so fucking good to be back on the other side of the barrier again this year"
Barns Courtney
“Looking forward to making my debut appearance at one of my fave UK festivals which was the 1st one I ever a went to as a kid! Looking forward to rocking your little socks off Reading and thanks for the invite”

Bringing together the hottest names from every inch of the rock world, The Pit/Lock-Up Stage is set to play host to the most genre-defining sets of the weekend as Japanese leaders ONE OK ROCK, riotous live favourites Gnarwolves, riff masters Arcane Roots, high-octane lo-fi duo PWR BTTM and American heavyweights Breaking Benjamin will storm the coveted rock spotlight.
French electro-doom bringer Carpenter Brut, bass-heavy Bristol natives Turbowolf, and grime-punk new bloods Astroid Boys promise to redefine the very meaning of blistering festival performances, whilst Boston Manor, Defeater, VUKOVI, God Damn, WSTR, and Viagra Boys are destined to steal the stage with their raw punk behaviour.
In a seismic billing of alternative power, critically acclaimed Zeal & Ardor are set to bring anthemic black metal to the stage as hotly tipped acts Palisades and Casey reinforce the unapologetic intensity of The Pit/Lock-Up Stage. A monumental mix of fierce acts including Tigers Jaw, Big Jesus, Tired Lion, Culture Abuse, Muncie Girls, TIGERCUB, SLØTFACE, RavenEye, Freak and LIFE promise to take 2017 to another level.

Andrew Groves, Arcane Roots;
Playing the esteemed Reading & Leeds Festival last year was one of the highlights of our career, so to be asked to play again this year, with a new album on the way and an ambitious new sound, is both an honour and a opportunity to unveil what we've only teased at so far. Reading & Leeds has always felt like a proving ground to us, and we'll be certain to bring something special with the likes of Billy Talent shortly after us.
Thom Weeks, Gnarwolves;
"We're very excited to be playing Reading and Leeds this year. It'll be our 4th time at Reading and we get to play on the stage we first played on 4 years ago! I spent my teenage years at Reading, watching bands like Thursday and Sick Of It All, so getting to play is like living out a teenage fantasy...4 times!"
Ben Hopkins, PWR BTTM;
"My mind is completely blown that we are going to be playing Reading and Leeds where so many incredible bands have played for so many years. I just hope my outfit looks good!!!”
Lande Hekt, Muncie Girls:
“We're so exciting to go back to Reading and Leeds this year. Last time Eminem played, Dido made a surprise appearance and amongst the thousands of shocked fans, there wasn't a dry eye to be seen. We can only hope for the same this year. Also the Lock Up stage is amazing. What a way to end our summer!”
"Just thinking of the fact that we'll be on the same poster as Kasabian, Charli XCX, At The Drive In and Eminem is really exciting. We love the festival life in the UK and this is the biggest UK festival we've ever done, so this has to be amazing.”

Promising to be one of the most exciting stages of the weekend, the BBC 1Xtra Stage welcomes Manchester’s finest Bugzy Malone. The northern Grime wordsmith’s credentials remain unchallenged with genre-defining E.P’s Walk With Me and Facing Time entering the UK Album Chart Top Ten. P Money;
"Glad to be back! Third time is always the best time! Grime in full effect"
DJ Semtex
"The raw energy and excitement of the crowd that Reading and Leeds festival attracts is unrivalled. They demand the hardest, pounding abrasive sounds, and I love that. For me this is the event of the year."

With Goldie announced today, the BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage packs the biggest electro line up of the summer, with new additions today including radio icon and contemporary tastemaker Mistajam. A gatekeeper to the most exciting music of the present day, he’ll take to the coveted stage alongside Brentford’s finest pirate radio DJ crew Kurupt FM, live beat-maker and multi-instrumentalist Jax Jones, and garage sound-system stars Heartless Crew. With Delta Heavy, Monki, and Hospital Records’ own Metrik also confirmed for moments across the weekend, the BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage will once again provide an exciting soundtrack to the bank holiday weekend.

Already soaked in unmistakable dance royalty, the BBC Radio 1 Dance Stage will be full of electronic boundary-pushers throughout the weekend, including seismic blending from South London’s prodigal beat maker Jacob Plant, garage pioneers Dreem Teem, homegrown house producer Kideko and a Fabric favourites B2B set from Loadstar and Matrix & Futurebound.
